Based on my experience, check-raise bluffing should rarely be deployed in games lower than $10-20 (and $20-40 in some cases). I didn't play poker in casinos, except on rare occasions when I played 1-5 stud in Vegas. There's also tetraphobia, fear of the number four. House has very little to cut from the pot. It's not like I blew my stack with an Ace-10 against an A-K. Therefore, no player will lose more than a given amount in a single hand (but, it can still be very expensive). In order to do that I needed to have two high finishes with a first and a second in two of my last twelve events. I look for poker analogies everywhere, but movies are an often-worked source for me. Years ago, Texas and the Deep South were prime examples of this. They don't call Cheap Eddie cheap for no reason. Sit next to me.
